As part of a major renovation of the visitor welcome center at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America's national headquarters in Atlanta, I collaborated with Crafted Action to plan, develop, and install three large-format touchscreen interactives.
The experiences give visitors an opportunity to explore the organization's history and recognize its impact, from browsing notable alumni and Youth of the Year award recipients to creating a personalized digital Polaroid and leaving a message for future visitors.

These two interactives share much of their underlying functionality and UI, so I developed them as a single application with feature flags to support their distinct content and experiences.
The Alumni Hall of Fame features a browsable directory of notable Boys & Girls Club alumni, while the Youth of the Year interactive recognizes every recipient of the organization's national award dating back to the 1940s.
Both experiences feature custom attract screens and transitions combining high-resolution video with synchronized, code-driven animations. Content and media are cached locally and periodically synchronized with a remote Airtable database, allowing the applications to remain responsive and operate independently of a continuous internet connection.

The third interactive invites visitors to make their mark on the organization through a personalized digital Polaroid and an optional email newsletter signup.
A life-size vertical video of the organization's CEO introduces the experience, followed by a guided, step-by-step flow. Visitors use a built-in Insta360 Link camera to take a selfie, then personalize their Polaroid with their name, location, and what inspires them to get involved.
Unlike the other two experiences, Join the Club also collects visitor-generated content that may eventually appear on a public-facing display. To prevent unreviewed submissions from appearing, I helped build a custom moderation queue that gives the client team control over which submissions are approved for display, as well as the ability to curate the content over time.
Like the other applications, content and assets are cached locally and periodically synchronized with the CMS. The moderation workflow adds another layer of control over what gets published to the installation.
